Narcolepsy Patient-themed Public Welfare Art Exhibition - “Draw Rare Dreams"(图1)

Narcolepsy is a rare sleep disorder clinically characterized by four main symptoms: paroxysmal irresistible sleep, hypnagogic hallucinations, cataplexy, and sleep paralysis. Patients describe their dreams as an extension of the real environment of the last second. Nightmares and sweet dreams are so real that it is difficult to distinguish between reality and dream.

Narcolepsy patients generally face the difficulties of “misunderstood", "difficult to diagnose", "no medicine available", and "no money to cure". Therefore, the Blue Whale Rare Disease Special Foundation and Jiaozhujia (patient organization) jointly held the first public welfare painting exhibition on the theme of narcolepsy patients in China -“Draw Rare Dreams".

We want to provide support like patient education, popular science and financial sponsor to patients through public welfare art exhibitions, and call on more people to pay attention to sleep disorder. At the same time, we also reach out to more potential patients and doctors to increase awareness and diagnosis rate, allowing more solutions (drugs and other drugs) to reach patients and help patients with sleeping disorder get out of the predicament.
